Anxiety and Depression Counseling Group for Teens and Adolescents

Seattle Christian Counseling

What is an Adolescent Anxiety and Depression Counseling Group?

This is an ongoing counseling, support, and educational group for adolescents and teens aged 12-15 struggling with anxiety and depression. Participants will have the opportunity to share their feelings about their experience with anxiety and depression in a space that feels familiar and safe.

The goal of the group is to:

  • Teach adolescents how to better cope with anxiety and/or depression in their everyday lives
  • Give adolescents a safe and comfortable place where they can articulate their struggle
  • Show teens that they are not alone in their battle with anxiety and/or depressionEncourage participants to be supportive of one another as they seek to grow, celebrate victories, and overcome together

How Can it Help?

Groups are an effective way to give hope to individuals through the witnessing of change in those around them. This group can be helpful for the adolescent or teen who might be living with anxiety and/or depression and feels alone because none of their peers have a similar experience.

The group setting encourages participants to share their stories with one another so that everyone can achieve healing with the help and support of one another. Group members will always be supported in a way that encourages them to go at their own pace and share in a way that is meaningful and comfortable for them.
