Psalms 107:29 tells us, “He caused the storm to be still, So that the waves of the sea were hushed.” If the waves of your life are crashing down around you, come seek shelter in Christian counseling. It saved me when I found myself caught in the storms and it can save you, too. I will work with you to first get your head above water and eventually teach you how to swim with confidence. With Jesus’ help, you can overcome your fears, let go of losses, and grow in God to walk on the water of your faith.
Many of us view ourselves as “less than” what we really are as children of God. As we meet together, I will endeavor to hold the flashlight so to speak, in order to illuminate your path so you can find healing, confidence, and a strong sense of self – ultimately enabling you to create a life worth living. With empathy, adaptability, and humility, I will listen to your story, help you find and identify the root causes of whatever issues you’re facing, and offer practical tools to help you overcome your personal difficulties and challenges.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with years of experience helping people overcome a wide-variety of issues. My hope for you is to find restoration through therapy while forming a stronger relationship with God. I offer you compassion, expertise, and an objective perspective for evaluating your problems. Through God-given wisdom and discernment, I will customize a plan of treatment for your unique needs.
Knowing when it’s time to seek counseling takes wisdom, courage, and humility. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, I have experience in helping people who feel broken and unsure about the future. My goal is to help you seek positive change in all areas of your life. Anxiety, depression, aging, codependency, sexual abuse, and other traumas affect our relationships with those we want to love, including ourselves. I’m here to walk with you on your unique journey and welcome you to explore faith as a way to enhance your life and recovery.
I believe the family unit is one of the most important aspects of our society. If family bonds can be strengthened, many other issues in this world will resolve themselves. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Associate, I seek to work with families to identify needs and trigger points and provide healthy solutions grounded in faith. Counseling sessions with my clients may address the union between husband and wife, parent to child relationships, past family experiences, and other interpersonal dynamics. If you feel as if you’re stuck in an unhelpful cycle, I’ll seek to help you to find peace.
My love for Christ affects everything I do, including the way I treat my clients. As a follower of Jesus, I offer a deep and genuine care for you and your experiences. With sincerity and empathy, I will seek to understand your situation and concerns beyond surface level so we can work together to help you experience lasting relief. I am trained as an Attachment Focused EMDR Therapist and I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) candidate. Whether you’re dealing with attachment issues, trauma recovery, sex addiction, or some other concern, it would be my privilege to use my training and expertise combined with biblical principles to help you find peace and healing.
Helping couples heal their relationships by first better understanding themselves is what I do as a Christian counselor. I offer you support and insight for overcoming obstacles that stand in the way of forming lasting, fulfilling relationships with others and God. Whether you’re looking for marriage or premarital counseling, together we will strive to learn more about yourself, how you affect others, and how they affect you. With this knowledge, you can learn how to make healthy choices that will help you grow in all the relationships in your life.
I believe in the healing, transformative promises of Christ. I also believe in His patience, and have had the privilege of seeing God’s grace work miracles in the lives of my clients. As a Master’s level Mental Health Counselor, I’m honored to act as a vessel for the Lord, one that will help you discover healing and growth. I help people recover from issues like abuse, depression, anxiety, broken relationships, spiritual concerns, and more. Whatever you’re going through, I offer you support, experience, and hope for a new, Christ-filled future.
As a trained Christian Spiritual Director, I have a passion for helping people grow in their relationship with the Lord. I am not a health care provider or licensed counselor, but I do have training and experience in Christian spiritual direction, formation, and healing and intercessory prayer. I love coming alongside people who are struggling in their faith or lacking direction, including issues related to forgiveness, grief, loss, sin, fear, a lack of confidence, and relational challenges. It is my joy to join others in search of God’s fingerprints in their lives, and I count it a privilege to get a front row seat to what the Lord is doing. I am fluent in both Dutch and English.
You were created in the image of God for the purpose of bringing Him glory. Perhaps you are currently in a season in which you do not feel that you are bringing glory to God. Maybe you are even questioning whether you were made in His image. Many people reach a point in their lives when they feel stuck. They want to move forward, but they feel powerless and don’t know where to turn. Using biblical principles, warmth, and patience, I will work with you to seek lasting, positive change that will help you reflect God’s image and bring Him glory.
I provide people with a compassionate place for self-discovery and growth. I’m especially drawn to helping women and teens who struggle with things like anxiety, depression, eating disorders, relationship issues, and parenting, but I welcome all who need a safe place to express themselves while working towards healing. With Christ as the foundation of my practice, my hope is for my clients to discover and nurture their true selves and to leave sessions feeling empowered, loved, and hopeful.
