Recover the Capacity to Love and Be Loved
October 15–18, 2026
Cle Elum, Washington
Many men become skilled at managing their behavior, working harder, or saying the right things while still struggling to remain emotionally present when conflict, pain, shame, or vulnerability enters a relationship.
This men’s only, four-day, Christ-centered intensive is designed to help men move beyond merely understanding intimacy and begin practicing it. Through experiential exercises, relational practice, worship, teaching, recreation, and brotherhood, participants will strengthen their capacity for:
- Emotional presence and attunement
- Empathy without defensiveness or fixing
- Healthy differentiation during conflict
- Honest and courageous communication
- Deeper connection with God, their spouses and families, and other men
- Joy, play, celebration, and meaningful brotherhood
The intensive will be led by Andrew Engstrom, MS, LMFT of Seattle Christian Counseling, alongside his colleague Chris Chandler, MA, LPCC, CSAT-S.
