The famed Oxford don and professor C. S. Lewis once wrote that friendship “… is born at the moment when one man says to another ‘What! You too? I thought that no one but myself…’” Having a shared experience with someone else helps to lighten the sense of isolation and loneliness that can often descend when you’re struggling with something.
