Here are some quotes and verses I have compiled about grief. I find them helpful in explaining the grieving process, grief itself, and, ultimately, how to cope with grief and sadness. I also share some Bible verses about the hope and healing we can find in Christ.

Learning to Live with Grief

The five stages  ̶  denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance  ̶  are a part of the framework that makes up our learning to live with the one we lost. They are tools to help us frame and  identify what we may be feeling. But they are not stops on some linear timeline in grief.

What Does the Bible Say about Grief?

For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Nor has He hidden His face from Him; But when He cried to Him, He heard.

Psalm 22:24
