Trusting God, Even in Difficult Times
Christian Counselor Seattle
The one thing that is certain in life is that change will be the constant. We will have good moments and we will have difficult times. In peaceful moments, it is easy to turn to our Lord, but in the turbulence it can be difficult. A way to ease our suffering in those more difficult moments is to already have made a habit, a practiced skill of turning to the Lord, trusting God in both good and bad times.
Are you suffering through a time of trial right now? Do you feel like there is no one to assist you in your current feelings of vulnerability? Do you feel that the world and even those closest to you do not see you, hear you, or are generally not reliable? Since God created us, He wants us to depend on Him and only Him. He gifted us His sacred Word. God’s ineffable wisdom in His Word can be your anchor in the turbulent waters in whatever storm at sea you may be facing now. Many verses in the Bible can help you practice trusting God in your trials. In these verses, you can experience the truth of our living God who is our rock to rely on, who sees you and hears you. He stays right next to us even when we in our limited understanding feel He may be far away.
You can use these verses in times of prayer and meditation to overcome worry, fear, and discouragement. The Word tells us to incessantly pray and turn to Him in our lives. Make connection with Him and dependence on Him as a way of life. Turn His Word into prayers so you open a conversation and stay in conversation with God during calm days as well as stormy days.
Bible Verses to Help with Trusting God
Here are the best Bible verses for trusting God that you can use especially when facing trials. Write them out and have them handy to meditate on both when you are tempted to lose hope, and also when the waters may be calmer, keeping that steady and constant relationship with the Lord in good or bad times. Within a consistent practice in relationship with the Lord, repetition is always the center.

What a comfort it is to know that God never leaves us or forsakes. He is right beside you, leading the way and always staying with you. Because of this truth, you can surrender your fear and discouragement and even your gratitude and joy to Him. Surrender your entire heart to our living Lord.It is the Lord who goes before you. What we know is that God wants you to trust in His grand plan; that He is orchestrating all things and ultimately it is for your good, a good that you may not even fathom or understand with our limited understanding in our flesh-driven existence.
