Andrew Accornero, MACP, LMHCA
Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (MC61081325)
Whether you’re dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, relationship issues, or other concerns, I will offer you the same unconditional acceptance and grace that Christ offers. I will work with you to help you overcome the challenges you face so you can live the joy-filled life God desires for you to live. I’ll help you identify and express the emotions you’re feeling so we can get the root cause of your concerns and develop a treatment plan to get you back on the path toward peace and overall health and wellbeing, by God’s grace, truth, and strength.

As your counselor, I will accept, honor, and affirm your feelings, emotions, and stories of deep pain, confusion, and fear and not try to defend against them. I will help you overcome any sense of shame or fear you may be experiencing as a result of your circumstances. No matter what you’re going through, I believe the Lord can use our time together in Christian counseling to help you emerge from the darkness into the light of life through hope and faith in Christ. I look forward to seeing how He works in your life.
My goals as a counselor are to provide a relational space where you feel free to express yourself truthfully even through high levels of fear and shame, and for you to develop motivation to strive for healing with God’s help. My hope is that through our sessions together, you will accepted and affirmed, and that the tools we discuss will equip you to take the necessary steps for personal growth and recovery.
I offer a safe space where you will be accepted, affirmed, honored, and believed in whatever experience, feeling, or thought you bring to the session. I will follow your lead for each session, assuming that you are in therapy with a willingness to do the work necessary to achieve the healing you desire. Together we will develop a treatment plan to meet your needs so you can experience the growth and peace that God has planned for you.
As someone made in the image of God, the physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual aspects of your being are all interconnected. As a Christian therapist, I believe my clients can find the healing they desire through Christ. My faith assumes that relationships matter, and because they matter, I desire to create a space where a fruitful and healing therapeutic relationship can form. I believe that Jesus acts through truth and grace. A strong relationship formed by grace allows truth to be spoken and change to be grasped.
